About Us
HUNTING
We got into Deutsch-Drahthaars many years ago when we had the opportunity to hunt behind them. After seeing how versatile the breed is we made the decision to purchase our first pup. Now, after taking multiple dogs through the DD program we have learned the importance of the training and the testing to maintain the integrity of the breed.
TRAINING
Training any dog is important, but when it comes to waking up the DNA of a hunting dog, it's a whole new game. Preparing a Drahthaar for breed specific testing can be exhausting and at time frustrating but in the end the reward far exceeds your expectations. Which is why we not only train our own dogs, but also offer training assistance for puppy owners.
BREEDING
Throughout our adventures in hunting, training, and testing we decided it would be beneficial for not only us, but also for the betterment of the breed, to begin breeding Deutsch-Drahthaars. What initially began for us as pleasure has now turned into a passion. We look forward to being able to contribute to the improvement of the breed as well as educating others about the importance of historic purebred dogs and their purposes in this world.
